It’s no secret that Facebook has had its fair share of ups and downs over the last few years, but you may be surprised to learn just how many people have decided to delete their Facebook accounts as a result. So if you’re considering following suit and quitting Facebook altogether, this step-by-step guide will help you get started with deleting your account in five easy steps!
1) Open the Facebook menu and select Settings
1. Click on General from the menu on the left.
2. Click on Manage your account and then click Log out of all sessions.
3. At this point, you will be prompted to confirm that you want to log out of all sessions, click Confirm and Exit Now.
4. Once logged out, you can go back into your settings by clicking the arrow icon at the bottom of the screen that says Home and then selecting Settings from there.

3) Select Deactivation and Deletion
Deactivation is a temporary way of suspending your account, which will allow you to come back and use it when you want. Deletion is the permanent removal of all your data from Facebook’s servers.
1. Log into your account and go to the Account Settings page.

3 3. Read over all of the information carefully, then enter your password and click Deactivate your account.
